Ban, Chunlai: China has to Achieve a Multi-party Democratic Constitutional System
班春来(Ban,Chunlai)
The main problem of China’s political reform is how to solve the problem of Chinese Communist party’s long-term ruling. The only way for political reform is to give up this dictatorial system, and implement a multi-party democratic constitutional system, letting China achieve democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law. Under a democratic system, all the government officials in China would be elected by people, and can only use power under people’s authorization, and need to be responsible for the people.
Multi-party democratic constitutional system can change the current phenomenon of buying and selling official titles, concentrated power of government officials under the Chinese Communist one-party dictatorship. Under a democratic system, China can achieve the separation of three powers-legislative, judicial and executive; have a democratically elected government, preventing the spread of corruption. People can achieve the freedom of press and the freedom of speeches, and this system would guarantee democracy, freedom and human rights in China.
Multi-party democratic constitutional system can handle the relationship between administration, ruling party and constitution very well. Guaranteeing the Law is above all, no political parties, organizations and individuals are allowed to above the law, using rule of law to govern the country.
