Ban,Chunlai: Environment Disruption Should Not Be the Consequences of Economic Development
班春来(Ban,Chunlai)
Over the recent years, many places in China have lots of natural disasters, like drought, flood, frost, landslide, mudslide and so on. There is one same reason under the back of these disasters, which is the Chinese government’s long-term damage to the environment. However, when facing the disaster problem, the Chinese government officials uses the so-called disaster relief and rescue as excuses, and turn these disasters into the opportunities that they can show and praise themselves. But the Chinese government officials never feel ashamed.
The economic development in China is at the cost of environment and people’s livelihood, everything is for economic development and GDP output. Today, China’s economy has been developed, but meanwhile the environment has been polluted. The air is full of dust, the water in rivers and lakes cannot be drank, the “fresh” and “beautiful” vegetables and fruits contain toxins and cannot be ate. A variety of pollutants in the natural environment can be seen everywhere. The environmental pollution in China is becoming more and more serious, which makes people worried a lot.
The Chinese government has to understand a simple truth: compared with the nature, a country and its government are so small. Facing the nature environment, they should not be arrogant. Whatever the Chinese government needs to do is to adapt to the nature, protect the nature environment and ecological balance. The Chinese government has to earnestly learn from these painful lessons. The environmental disaster is merciless, and it would never be too late to protect the environment.
