Xie, Chongfei: The Chinese Government must Limit Government Officials’ Power

It has been over 60 years since the Chinese Communist Party first takes its one-party authoritarian. This country does not have a real election, the government is not elected by people, and the government officials are also not elected by people. Now, the power of all levels governments and its officials are entrusted by the Chinese Communist regime, and this kind of power do not need to take responsibility of people, and do not need to accept people’s supervision and the law’s constrain. This kind of power is an absolute power, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption. In today’s China, government officials who have power do money trade and become very corrupted.
Since the government official corruption problem becomes more and more serious, the Chinese government takes many measures to against corruption, and corrupted officials gets punished one by one. But the number of government officials involved is increasing, and the amount of money involved also has an upward trend.
Today’s social system in China is Chinese Communist one-party dictatorial system, and dictatorial system is a corrupted system. Under a corrupted system, there must be a corrupted government; and with a corrupted government, there must be corrupted government officials. Only by abandoning the dictatorial system, and implementing multi-party ruling democratic constitutional system, can the government limits government officials’ power, can the anti-corruption action be effective.
