The current social system in China is one-party dictatorship that is only one ruling party has the power, which is similar to patriarchal system, everything is decided by the party. Without opposition party, government’s work will lack of supervision, and government officials’ power will lose constraints. The corruption problem will come from there. It has been decades since China begins its anti-corruption work. But it has no effect at all and the corruption repeat again and again.

The corruption problem in China is not few officials’ problem, and also cannot be solved by punishing few corrupted officials. It is that China has a corrupted social system problem. Will it be possible to let the Chinese Communist authoritarian give up the power, and let other parties take over? As a Chinese Communist regime which is in control of all the social resources in China, that would never happen. The Chinese Communist regime understands very well that they cannot punish the corrupted officials largely, otherwise, who will support their regime? It still needs government officials.

In accordance with such reasoning, we can say, at some point, corruption can make the Chinese Communist regime stable too. If largely anti-corruption, this must reveal many dark sides of the Chinese Communist regime, which will lead the situation that people have no trust on them, so nobody dare to take this responsibility. On the other side, it is also impossible to give up anti-corruption, because people will never allow. So anti-corruption is just formalism, has no real effect.
