Li, Hao: Calling the Chinese government to Comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
李浩(Li,Hao)
Over the years, the human rights condition in China has not improved well; this big country’s government cannot shirk its responsibility. The human rights problem in China has been long concerned by United Nations and international human rights organizations. China is one of the countries which co-signed Universal Declaration of Human Rights issued by United Nation on December 10, 1948. In China’s current constitution, there are also provisions to protect Chinese citizens’ basic human rights.
For many years, though Chinese government’s saying on human rights problem is impeccable; the real situation is far away from it. Over sixty years, no matter government or government officials, do not comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, not comply with the provisions inside the constitution, all these are trampling on human rights. Chinese citizen do not have the right to vote, do not have religious right, do not have supervision right and so on. Today’s Chinese society, it is very popular to violate people’s human rights. The provisions in China’s constitution on human rights problem are just like decorations.
In order to improve the human rights condition fundamentally in China, we call the Chinese government conscientiously comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, stop using violence, stop persecuting human rights, promote human rights, and communicate with the public; gradually start the democratic political reform, promote the human rights work toward to a positive direction.
