Chi, Yunzheng: Environmental Protection is Government’s Responsibility and Obligation

Without nature environment, people will lose their survival condition. So it is every country’s responsibility and obligation to protect the nature environment. In the past decades, in order to develop economy, the Chinese government introduced some policies to stimulate economy. The economy has developed, but the environment has been destroyed. Waste gas, waste water and waste residue from many industries are discharged in the natural environment without any treatment. In some rural areas and economically underdeveloped mountain areas, many trees in forest are chopped down, the green area are reducing all the time. The limited prairies are destroyed by the ultra-scale animal husbandry, and it is moving towards desertification. These factors make China’s ecological environment severely damaged.
In China, since people continue to destroy nature environment, so its original balance has been broken, and there are abnormal climate and greenhouse effect. The environment disasters, such as droughts, floods, landslides and dust storms, appear more and more frequency. This is a painful price that the government has to pay since they just focus on the economy development.
Every man has a share of responsibility for the fate of his country．Protecting the environment and maintaining the ecological balance are government’s responsibility and obligation. Here, I am calling the Chinese government to pay attention to the environmental protection work, calling the public to protect the natural environment together. Let us arm to arm, should to should, work together to protect resources, protect nature environment, protect the earth, making our country more and more beautiful.
