Shao,Yixiao: China has to Prevent Official Corruption from Its System
邵一校(Shao,Yixiao)
Chinese government officials cannot survive without the society, they are part of it; and they are affected by various social factors just like ordinary people. The current one-party dictatorship is a corrupted political system. The high officials in the Chinese Community regime control most part of Chinese economy. Since there is no balance of power, no independent judiciary and media, Chinese Communist Party is in control of everything. The national law is controlled by Chinese Communist regime, these government officials who are in control of Chinese Communist regime can use law to do whatever they want, and they can let themselves be above the law. Look at today’s society, the government officials are not working for people, but working for themselves. What they advocate are monetary value, self-interest, personal achievement, high consumption and decadent entertainment. Since government officials’ power is not restricted by law, it is inevitable that more and more corrupted government officials come. In other words, it is corrupted Chinese government officials’ common problem to maximize self-interest.
One-party dictatorship leads to the situation that there is no separation between party and politics, no independence of legislation and judiciary, and government officials’ power is not restricted; one-party dictatorship is like a machine that is never stopping making official corruption. Then what kind of method can effectively stop official corruption? A good and reasonable social system is the fundamental condition for controlling the spreading of official corruption.
If the political system in China allows two or more parties make turns to rule, achieving the separation of legislation, administration and judiciary, and then government officials’ power would be restricted, they will be supervised while using the power; the interests between parties can be restricted, and also be balanced. While using the public power, the government and government officials has to make sure of country and people’s interest, preventing official corruption from its system.
