Shao, Yixiao: Implementing Fair Education in the Chinese Society
邵一校(Shao,Yixiao)
For a long time, the education style in China is a brainwashing education style dominated by inculcating culture. What is more, the Chinese government also develops education into an industry, using fee-based education system while still on the foundation education stage, making education and economy together, which leads to the education gap between city and countryside, between regions, between social ranks, and the gap is having an expanding trend. Plus the strict household restriction system, which makes migrant labors’ children cannot enjoy the same education as the children from city, the expensive education fees make them study at schools with poor conditions. They are all Chinese people, but get unfair education since they are very little.
From the current situation of China’s education, the government emphasizes on the rule of man, and not pays attention on rule of law for a long time. Education regulations are incomplete, education system has problems, education funding is not adequate and balanced, education facilities are backward, education officials take education funding for them, the government does not pay teachers’ salary on time and such similar problems.
The Chinese government has to strengthen educational legislation work. Educational legislation is that government manage it through making all kinds of education laws, regulations, ordinances and education policy, the main purpose is to let the education work has law to base while doing the work of policies, institutions, funds, persons, facilities and administration, getting the guarantee from law, then promote the normal development of education. It is important to improve the supervision of education, stop government officials from taking away education fund, cancel unreasonable fees, not take education as an industry. So the majority children in China can get a good education.
