23 years ago, between spring and summer in 1989, the students and civilians in Beijing, China all went to the street to attend a demonstration. They mainly asked for democracy, against corruption, and punish government officials. This great democratic movement was bloodily suppressed by the Chinese Communist army.
23 years has passed, the phenomenon that Chinese government officials break laws, being corrupted and take advantage of the public become more and more intense. That year, the anti-corruption student requested just part of the officials’ corruption; the punishment of the government officials is just punishing part of the government officials. Today’s government officials, no matter in high power or low power, have already developed to be openly corrupted, and directly take millions of RMB into their own wallets. Facing these widespread corruption problems, the government does not have the idea to do self-examination, and even defense for corruption. The Chinese official media even published articles, saying “proper corruption is allowed”. Facing such saying, do you still think our government has hope?
Around the time of commemorating 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, we strongly demand the Chinese government not forget this history, let this event be solved justly and fairly, give console to the victims, and also give the world a reasonable explanation. We strongly ask the Chinese government carry out the political reform, severely punish corrupted people, and achieve democracy.
