Li, Min: Calling On the Chinese Government to Terminate the “One Child” Family Planning Policy
李敏(Li,Min)
One future of today’s Chinese society is that there are no basic human rights. 30 years ago, using the excuse of “population growth rate is too fast”, the Chinese government introduced family planning policy aimed at “one child”. Over the years, many Chinese women paid great prices to this “one child” family policy, like physically and mentally hurt, breaking up the family and so on; many women had such painful experiences like forced abortion, ligation and so on.
The majority of Chinese women are lack of good education; they are long subject to brainwashing authoritarian culture, they do not have basic human rights. Facing the persecution from government’s family planning policy, they cannot fight and also do not know how to fight. I fully understand this issue. Over the 30 years, the “one child” family planning policy deprives women’s freedom of reproductive rights.
“One child” family planning policy violates the nature law of reproduction, causing the imbalance of gender structure, speeding up the intensification of social problems like aging population. Therefore, we call the Chinese government to terminate the “one child” family planning policy, guaranteeing people’s basic human rights.
