Zhang, Fenglei: China Needs to Prevent Corruption from Its System

China has a corrupted one-party dictatorial system, and the existence of this system is the main reason of the serious official corruption. The power under autocracy is lack of effective supervision, is lack of legal constrains, it is an absolute power, which will lead to absolute corruption. Under an autocratic system, money and power can trade with each other, corruption and power plays its role in each other.
If a country’s government is elected from two or more parties through campaign, government and government official’s power are under the supervision of people and constraints of law, then the official corruption can be prevented from the system. While using the power, government officials at any level has to let the power be transparent, has to let the power first guarantee country and people’s interest. Meanwhile, government officials will supervise each other, preventing corruption from its system.
Therefore, raising opposition party, letting parties take turns to rule the country, implementing a multi-party democratic political system, realizing human rights and rule of law, all these are fundamental ways to restrain official corruption
