Zheng, Wen: Asking the Chinese Government Not Forget 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre
郑文( Zheng,Wen)
1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre is manufactured by China’s authoritarian government, and it is a tragedy in China’s modern history. Many people died in this event, among these victims, no matter civilians or students, their purpose of participating in the demonstration and rally is good. We hope the Chinese government can announce the truth of 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, being a government with conscience and sympathy. The purpose in doing this, on one hand is to mourn those who died, on the other hand is to prevent a similar tragedy from happening again.
Over the 23 years, since the Chinese government wrongly reports the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, many people have been deceived. They do not know the truth of this event. 23 years has passed, no matter government or government officials, they are trying to evade the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, and the media has not reported 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre and relevant truth. The Chinese government still refuses democracy, and tramples human rights.
We urge the Chinese government do not forget 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, do not forget history, investigate the truth and find out the people who needs to take responsibility. We demand the Chinese government stop persecution and immediately and unconditionally release all political prisoners, promote political reform, give the government to people, so that China can walk on a path with freedom and democracy.
