Guan, Xuexia: Effectively Improve China’s Human Rights Situation
管学霞(Guan,Xuexia)
The government officials in China are not only corrupted, but also oppress people. The most common things are they force people to relocate in housing, force people to sell their lands in a low price, use violence to expel petitioners, and use violence to suppress the public. As the government’s constitution, it cannot constrain government officials’ behavior, which makes these government officials disregard the law.
It is the government that promotes human rights and to improve human rights, but it is also the government that violates human rights. The United Nations General Assembly calls the countries and regions where many human rights violation events happen frequently that they are places with bad human rights records. Today’s China can be called as a country with a bad human rights record.
The Chinese society needs human rights, needs a fair and justice human environment. The Chinese government does not only need to guarantee human rights from Constitution, but also to guarantee human rights in reality. I hope the government can stop using violence, realize its promise in improving human rights, and effectively improve the human rights in China.
