Wang, Qi: The Spirit of 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre Exists Forever
王琪(Wang,Qi)
In 1989, the majority of the students and civilians held a peaceful demonstration, but was bloody suppressed by the Chinese Communist government in the morning of June, 4; many innocent people died under Chinese army’s tanks and guns. Though 23 years has been past, the Chinese Communist government still refuses to admit killing students and civilians that year. Today, people from all over the world use various ways to commemorate 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre; they call the government stop conceal the truth and destroy evidence. The government needs to stop implementing policies fooling people for the interest of privileged groups.
The 1989 pro-democracy movement has proved that Chinese people’s steps in their pursuit of democracy and freedom will never stop. Though some people got hurt, some people died, tanks and guns cannot stop the left Chinese people. They demanded the implementation of freedom, democracy, human rights and rule of law.
The ending of the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre is a tragic, but the spirit of it lasts forever. I hope the Chinese government can make an fair comment, investigate the truth, find out the person who need to take responsibility, promote political reform, give power to people, leading China to a healthily, harmoniously democratic road.
