Wang, Shuhua: Birth Control is A Trampling of Basic Human Rights
王淑华(Wang,Shuhua)
Thirty years ago, Chinese government enacted one-child policy and forcibly implemented in the nationwide. Women of childbearing age, regardless of their nationality and age, are included in the scope of implementation of one-child policy.
The implementation and execution of birth control policy have caused serious physical and mental harm to Chinese women, disturbed the family life of numerous families, and even distorted emotions and relations between couples. Birth control policy violates the natural law of human reproduction and caused unbalanced gender ratio, and increased the pace of the problem of population-aging. Birth control policy not only abuses people’s human rights, but also ignores innocent lives.
No matter from what perspective, birth control is a trampling of basic human rights. Hundreds of millions of Chinese people hope to abolish one-child policy; Chinese people need humanity, freedom and human rights.
