Wang,Shuhua: Rule of Law is The Condition of Effective Anti-corruption Works
王淑华(Wang,Shuhua)
Democratic countries are all legal countries, no matter ordinary people or officers, everybody has to obey the law and handle affairs in accordance with the law. That is to say, every power is under the restriction and supervision of law, thus under a democratic system, there is a small chance for officers to get involved in corruption. Today, Chinese government officers are still taking advantages of the loopholes in the system, trading power for money and involving in corruption. This phenomenon leads to unequal distribution, and state property is controlled by a small number of people, most ordinary Chinese people are still live in poverty, the conflict between people and officers is getting escalated.
The real thing that threats the steadiness of china’s society is the serious problem of corruption. Officers’ corruption not only harms the interests of people, but also increases the job costs and living burden and even harms the interests of the country. Although Chinese government keeps the implementation of anti-corruption, in these years, the effect seems to be ineffective. On the contrary, the number of corruptive officers is increasing rapidly.
Chinese people want a clean and efficient government, and hope officers do not involve in corruption. The facts shows that democracy is a necessary if we want to restrict the serious problem of corruption, or we will never effectively solve the problem of corruption.
