Jin, Yujin: One-child Policy is Trampling Chinese Korean Female’s Human Rights
金於今(Jin,Yujin)
China has enacted the one-child policy for thirty years, during which women of childbearing age regardless of their nationality and age are included in the scope of the implementation of the one-child policy. Over the years, our Chinese Korean women have suffered the persecution of birth control policy, which disturbed the family life of numerous Korean families, and distorted emotions and relations between couples.
As a Chinese Korean woman, I think the one-child policy is a bad policy, and it is a kind of slow suicide to all the Chinese people. People are angry about the forcible abortion and ligation.
Birth control policy breaks the natural population balance. Because of the traditional concept of “Son Preference”, a large number of female infants have been killed by artificial abortion for decades. Nowadays, male population is much larger than female population in many places of China, and it is obvious in our Chinese Korean community. Thus, I firmly demand Chinese government abolishing the birth control policy.
