Luo, Haiwen: Having Basic Medical Security is the Due Rights of Chinese People

My name is Luo, Haiwen, I used to work in a hospital and I don’t like Chinese medical care system as well as the fact that Chinese government does not treat people as human. In China, it is hard for Chinese people to see a doctor, and they don’t have basic medical security.
In these years I live in America, I am deeply touched by comparing the different lifestyles between China and America. American society protects everyone, while not in China, in which Chinese people cannot receive lowest living standard. Chinese officials could spend public property freely, while the people living in the bottom of society live a hard life, such as my family. My father have to support 6 people in my family only by his poor salary, finally, he could not bear the intensive work and got sick seriously, he passed away when he was only 54 years old.
America has a complete medical care system, which assures patients receive medical treatment first, and then pay the bill, absolutely guaranteeing patients’ lives. While Chinese hospital share no effects to make money, if a patient does not offer deposit he will not receive treatment. When treating common cold, the doctor would intentionally prescribe expensive medicines so that he can get a commission, however, it caused big burden for the patients. The doctor does not treat a patient according to his specific condition, but by the relationship with him, thus many patients get hurt by medical malpractice and they even have no reasonable compensation as well as the protection by law.
The purpose I took part in the China Democracy Party is that I hope via our effects, China could realize democracy as soon as possible, building a society with democracy, freedom, rule of law, justice, fairness, and human rights, in which ordinary people could enjoy basic medical security, so that they can afford the medical expenses and their lives are under protection.
