Yang, Cheng: Chinese Government Must Promote the Free Development of Religion

Religious freedom is an important component of human rights. Everyone has the right to choose his religious belief just like people has a right to speech as well as right to rally. All these rights constitute the foundation of power that promotes the development of human civilization, and to makes people live with dignity, to makes people act morally, and to build a society with rule and with a healthy political system.
Chinese government has trampled religious freedom for a long time, and restrains people’s liberty of belief. The Chinese government is trampling modern civilization as well as people’s dignity, and is pushing Chinese society to the cliff of morality. Chinese officials emphasize the achievement of economic development, while lacks of the sense of the change of people’s belief. The renaissance of religious belief in China is an inevitable trend. And this is a fact that the Chinese government should face and obey.
As to the rise of religious freedom, the Chinese officials should feel happy to see it, and they should learn from devout religious believers who have purified soul, and by this way promoting the development of Chinese religious freedom.
