Sun, Ning: We Urge the Chinese Army Being Nationalized
孙宁(Sun,Ning)
Sixty years ago, Chinese communists seized the political power by using force. The communist regime at that time held a violent viewpoint, that is “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun". For decades, the top authorities in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) hold the military power tightly, since the barrel of gun represents the military power, and once they hold the barrel of gun, they would stay in political power.
The army controlled by CCP regime follows the orders of senior CCP officials, thus it becomes the Party’s private force. This army had participated in the suppression of students and citizens who took part in the parade and demonstration in 1989; it had also participated in the suppression of the people who protect their rights, as well as minorities in Tibet and Sinkiang who pursue their human rights and freedom. The Communist Regime supports a large army by using taxpayers’ money, while in turn persecutes these taxpayers.
There is no reason for the Chinese army serves as CCP’s governing tools, instead, it should follow the order of the government elected by the people. We urge Chinese Army to get out of CCP’s control, and to serve the country and the people, which is an important condition for China turns to a democratic country. We hope CCP making a wise choice, handing out the command authority of the army to the country and the people.
