Zhou, Baozhen: Commemorate the 23rd Anniversary of “June 4” Incident

Twenty three years ago, during the night of June 3 to the morning of June 4, the Chinese government moved armed force entering into Beijing, and the army drove the tanks and armored cars on the street leading to Tiananmen Square. They used force to suppress the demonstration of “Urge the Government Fighting against Corruption, and launch Political Reform”, which mainly constituted by students and citizens. The Chinese government killed hundreds of demonstrating students and citizens, and that was the world-shaking “June 4” incident 1989.
Today, the 23rd anniversary of “June 4” incident, Chinese people around world used various ways to commemorate this event, as well as the deceased in the incident. In the eyes of Chinese people, those passed lives are the real heroes, and their names will went down in history.
Although the “June 4” incident has passed 23 years, on the one hand, the Chinese government declares that it will launch the political reform, on the other hand, it ignore the truth of the “June 4” incident, which is a ridiculous thing. If the Chinese government did not face the “June 4” incident, as well as the truth of which, it would never have a real democracy political reform. Therefore, we urge the Chinese government to solve the “June 4” incident through a fair and just way, and to comfort the relatives of the deceased by compensation.
