Kong, Qinghai: China Needs Multi-party Democratic Political System

Nowadays, Chinese people increasingly pay attention to the reform of political system, and the Chinese government leaders mentioned the political reform question in different occasions, since the political system of a country closely relate to the economic development, the fairness and justice of a society, the integrity of officials and the people’s lives.
What kind of political system fits China’s future? For the Chinese Communist regime, what it needs is the Communist Party’s longtime one-party autocracy. So the Communist Party puts forward a slogan that is “Stability is all”, in which the stability refers to the Communist Party regime’s stability, but not people’s stability. Those Communist Party officials don’t care whether you have a job, nor care whether you are affordable to the medical care, as well as how much the commodity price rises. No officials will care about you if you cannot afford food and clothes, and even you become a beggar. Obviously, Chinese people don’t need such kind of political system, what they need is democratic political system with fairness and justice.
The basic character of democratic political system is that different parties could publicly, fairly, and justly take part in elections under the frame of the constitution. People can vote by ballot, and the victor becomes the ruling party. Chinese society needs to foster opposing parties, in order to exercise multi-party democratic political system.
