Cui, Zhehua: China Must Constrain Corruption from the Level of Political System

The corruption phenomenon in Chinese society is very severe, as a government, it must realize the importance of anti-corruption. Nowadays, with a rich physical life, the phenomenon of official corruption is spreading out, that many officials cannot stand the lure of money so that they take advantages of the loopholes of legal system, ignoring the law as well as people’s interests, to grab money by all means. The corruption puts the burden of unfairness on Chinese people’s shoulders, and disturbs the normal society order, distracting the basic principle of fairness and justice. The Chinese government must heavily punish official’s corruption.
On the one hand, the government should launch the propaganda of self discipline, enhancing the public report of corruption cases, while punish corrupt officials, improving legal education, developing democratic supervision, perfecting legal system construction, reforming and innovating political system, and prevent and solve the problem of corruption from the fundamental source of social system.
On the other hand, use legal supervision to constrain powers to make the powers under effective legal supervision, and to prevent the combination of powers and interests. Unlimited powers will definitely lead to corruption, so we should strictly use reasonable political system to allocate the powers, and prevent public powers from turning to absolute powers by the means of democracy and legality, constraining corruption from the fundamental source of political system.
