Zhao, Yingshun: Severe Corruption Causes Chinese Communist Regime Losing Legality
赵英顺(zhao,yingshun)
An irrebuttable fact presents in front of Chinese people is that the legality gained from the early Communist regime is being ripped away by the unprecedented corruption and the incompetent politic, and transmutes to an illegal regime without public support. The severe corruption is the most significant symbol for a regime losing its legality, and the corruption always happen before a regime collapses. Judicial institution represents the last fortress of anti-corruption, when it becomes corrupt, then ordinary people will lose their hopes as well as the confidence to this regime, thus the regime loses legality.
The current corruption phenomenon has permeated all levels of the society, which does not only involve the fake atmosphere in industry, but also includes education and medical institution. Not only lower-ranked officials extort people, but also the top level officials, along with their families, of the government or the Party are busy at enriching themselves. The miscarriage of justice is even more intolerable and unbelievable, without independent trial, officials would collude with bandits, the judges pervert justice for a bribe, which leads to thousands people petition around the country. Corruption has gone beyond the baseline of people’s tolerance. While incompetent government could do nothing with it, but to sit still waiting for death.
