According to media report, on Aug 8, 2012, the police in Jiangxi Nanchang arrested a medical salesman Wan Jianguo without any criminal proof, the police handed Wan upside down for 3 times, beating his buttocks and back with wood stick. Wan stopped breath less than 1 hour, the police in Jiangxi Nanchang extorted people to death. This case happened three years ago and received no fair trail till today, the family members of the dead are still file petition.

After the occurrence of the incident, the family members of the death keep petitioning for several years, while the case remains no fair judgment. I feel quite a lot from this case that, Chinese society lacks of rule of law, police conducts are under no restrictions, so that ordinary people have no place to express grievance. It is lucky enough for the unfair incidents be reported by the media.

In current China, nobody knows how many people died unjustly. Chinese government appeals anti-crime movements every day, while god knows how many corrupt ones are among these powerful officials and police, who are even more evil than gangsters. There are very few officials with good merits in today’s Chinese society, much less for those who truly serve people, all they care about is money. Facts prove that China needs democracy and the rule of law.
