Cui, Zhongguo: China’s Birth-control Policy Wrecks the Country and Brings Ruins to the People

Instead of using educational method to improve people’s quality, China’s birth control policy implemented by using bloody and forcible approaches, such as forcible abortion, induction, ligation, for the sake of controlling the birth rate. In order to promote and realize the policy, multifarious slogans have been made, one of which says that “If you want to get rich, bearing less babies and planting more trees”, which is rude and vulgar.
The Chinese government holds the opinion that if only control the birth rate, population could be controlled, economy could develop fast, and people’s living standard could get improved. However, over more than 30 years’ practice, the number of victims of the “one-child” policy reaches hundreds of millions, and Chinese people’s human rights get trampled. It seems that people’s quality and living standard didn’t improved a lot.
The birth control policy deprives the people’s basic human rights such as right to life, right to birth, the basic human rights come naturally from one’s birth, how could it being deprived? The Chinese government has to respect to all lives, as well as the right to birth. The birth control policy is the product of planned economy, and also the result of the excessive power for the government. We urge the Chinese government to abolish the “one-child” policy as soon as possible.
