Tong, Fengqiang: China Must Using Democracy to Replace Autocracy
佟凤强(Tong,Fengqiang)
More than sixty years ago, the CCP established a new regime and issued the Constitution of the People's Republic of China by the power of Chinese people, and the Chinese government openly committed in the constitution that: the country respect and protect human rights. But the fact is opposite, the CCP practices one-party dictatorial system, in which the power of the CCP regime stands above the constitution, and practicing autocratic rule across the country, prolonged depriving the people’s rights, which leads to a vicious circle of social conflict; such system even indulges the officials’ arrogance, and tacitly consents to the unfairness, cruelty in the society, which also destroyed people’s confidence towards the government. The government power ought to belong to the country and the people, and no organization or privileged class could stand above the country, the people and the law.
Currently, the social contradictions are sharp and complicated; the Chinese people lost the basic trust to the dictatorial government, and start to be in an opposite position against the government; protests emerge across the country constantly. Both the history and the reality tell us that only by revising the politics with the times could sustainable development be realized. It is a trend of the history development that China will turn to a country with democracy, freedom, human rights and the rule of law that nothing could stop it.
