Ma, Yan: Chinese Government Must Make a Contribution to Environmental Protection

With China’s economic development and the population growth, and the excessive industry expending, a large amount of natural resources were consumed, and the air and water resource got polluted. China’s environment is facing increasingly serious problem of pollution, and which received more and more concern from the International community.
China’s high speed economic development is at the expense of the melting of the icebergs, the decrease of forests, the disappearing of meadows and wetlands, so that the natural resources we live by are shrinking fast. In recent years, the number of natural disasters like drought, flood, landslide and debris flow is increasing.
We saw the severe consequence of the environmental pollution, and the Chinese government should take the primary responsibility. The environment is deteriorating, which threatens the health of us and even our descendants. China is a country with big population, which is also a economic giant, so the government have to make a contribution to environmental protection.
