Zou, Yuan: Urge Chinese Government to Improve the Situation of Human Rights by Practical Actions
邹源(Zou,Yuan)
The current human rights situation in China is deteriorating, and which will not get better though the country is becoming “prosperous and strong”. That is an inevitable consequence due to the Communist autocratic political system, while the government officials in such autocratic system have a feeling that their human rights are getting better. Indeed, in current Chinese society, only the officials human rights are getting better, while that of the ordinary people are even worse. Chinese people gradually realize that under the communist party’s autocratic rule, they have no basic human rights, and there is no way for the government to improve the situation.
The Chinese government named itself “the people’s government” that spare no effect to serve the people, but the government’s power under no restriction from the law and under no supervision from the people. Although the Chinese constitution mentions that the freedom of citizens shall not be infringed, the government and officials dominate the market, violently demolish homes, oppress the people, and prohibit free speech. More surprisingly, the authoritarian government takes advantage of its power to exploit people’s wealth, practice privatization, for the sake of openly embezzling national resources, which causes a large number of people lost their jobs.
As a government, it must obey the principle that takes the human rights as primary consideration, that is, to respect the human rights as well as to protect human rights, stop using violence as well as persecution, opening news freedom as well as speech freedom, immediately releasing the detained political dissidents, and to improve the situation of Chinese people’s human rights by practical actions.
