Zhang, Shaojie: China Must Prevent Corruption from the System
张少杰(Zhang,Shaojie)
China’s autocratic system is a corrupt system, under which the government officials are indulged in money, private interests, high consumption and corrupt entertainments. Such a corrupt society would definitely lead to the existence of corrupt officials who have absolute power. The absolute power would definitely causes absolute corruption, which is the main cause of the problem that the corruption could not be solved.
The serious phenomenon of official corruption would definitely damages the interest of the country and the people, as well as directly affects the people’s living standard, the harmfulness of which speaks for itself. Chinese people now ask for the government to severely punish the corrupt officials, to give fairness and justice back to the society. There is only one effective anti- corruption experience around the world, which is establishing a multi-party democratic constitutionalism under the “separation of the three powers”. The Chinese government could definitely learn from it.
Under the democratic system, official powers must receive the restrictions of the law, and must under the people’s supervision; when operating their powers, the officials could exercise self-discipline, and do everything on condition that the country’s and the people’s interests are guaranteed. Only by that way could the phenomenon of the corruption be solved from the system.
