Lin, Yongchun: Chinese Army Must be nationalized

As we known, a serviceman’s duty is to protect the country, and to serve the people in the country. The army of a country must take national interests as first primary, to protect the integrity of territory as well as people’s safety. Therefore, one army should not belong to any individual or ruling party, neither should become to be a tool of political struggle between parties.
In most of democratic countries around the world, “the nationalization of the army” has been written into constitution, and also becomes a principle that any party or any government must obey; thus “the nationalization of the army” is an important sign of the degree of democracy in a country, meanwhile, in essence, the army protects the democratic system as well as peace and stability of a country.
For a long time, Chinese communist regime insists the absolute leadership to the army, “state power comes from the barrel of a gun” is the magic weapon for the communist party’s ruling, so that the communist party treats the army as its private tool. So the communist regime opposes “the nationalization of the army”. We urge the communist party to stop its autocratic ruling, and to nationalize Chinese army.
