For many years, various pesticides and chemical fertilizers have been used in the rural area of China; some heavy pollution plants, such as paper mills, textile printing factories, chemical plants, located in the rural surrounding area only focus on their production to make profits, while neglecting environmental protection to discharge untreated waste toxic gas and water, which causes the declining of air quality, the excess concentration of dust and toxic gas in the air, the low transparence of the air, and stimulates people’s skin and respiratory passages, directly damaging people’s health.
The discharging method of industrial sewage and domestic sewage is mainly direct discharging, which leads to the severe pollution of rivers and lakes. Because of the deteriorating of water quality, the class of fishes and aquatic species is gradually decreasing, along with the stink sent out from the water.
Meanwhile, huge areas of forests and meadows have been destroyed which results in serious soil erosion, in recent years, severe droughts and floods happened frequently, which left the aftermath of landslides; none of these problems is not relate to the indifference of environmental protection of the Chinese government. I appeal the Chinese government to take measures to reduce environmental pollution, enhancing environmental protection, to benefit the entire human race.
