In November, the dust settled on the American election, we should rethink this election when congratulating Obama’s re-election.

On the face of it, Obama’s wining had created history, he is the first one who succeed in re-election amid the unemployment rate exceeds 8%; and while Romney lost the rival competition, basically, it was not only Obama’s success, but also Romney’s success, and even the success of the democratic freedom of America.

Although the amount of the expense of the election was huge, since I began to pay attention to the election last year, I observed that the people, no matter who they are, what ethnic group they belong to, what occupation they are, or they are poor or rich, were paying close attention to the subject. We can say that the election has bound the people together, making them united.

As to China, in recent years, while its economy keeps growing, relevant ancillary facilities, such as political reform, election system, moral civilization, fall far behind the demand of social development. Since China is an authoritarian society, the people have no right to vote, although their living condition has improved, the nature of the authoritarian system does not change. Chinese government ought to implement political reform as soon as possible, to let people participating in the administration and discussion of state affairs, as well as the election, and to form an elected government, only by this way, could stability realized in Chinese society.
