Xie, Chongfei: Ask for Communist Government to Allow the Existence of Opposition Party

For a long time, Chinese communist government does not allow the existence of opposition party, and it takes a hard line as to the parties besides CPC. Government officials are extremely cautious, and even scared, when talking about opposition parties or dissidents, in afraid of them to affect the so-called society stability. The government strictly controls the freedom to speech, and to suppress the dissents; it even cruelly suppress the members of peaceful opposition parties, such as China Democracy Party, the member and their families of which have suffered threatens from the communist government.
A normal society needs different voices, and even opposite voices, in order to push the ruling party to better serve the people, and to promote the improvement and development of the society, only then the people could have a place to express their grievance, so as to bring stability to the society.
Therefore, I urge Chinese government to allow the existence of opposition parties, embracing different voices from the folks, as well as listening to it. And the government should also provide substantial improvement aiming to the problems raised by the people; simply suppression may not suppress people’s desire of reform. It would be too late for the government to take measures when people’s anger reaches bursting point.
