Li, Min: Appeal Chinese Government to Abolish “One-Child” Policy
李敏(Li,Min)
No basic human rights is a characteristic of current Chinese society, thirty years ago, Chinese government introduced “one-child” policy for excessively rapid growth of generation. Over years, Chinese women have paid heavy price, such as mental injury, physical injury, and even disintegration of families, for the “one-child” policy; many Chinese women have suffered miserable experiences like forcible ligation, abortion, and violent induction.
Chinese women lacking of well education, have long suffered the brain wash of authoritarian culture, they have no basic human rights, so they are powerless to resist the persecution of the birth control policy from the government, nor do they know how to fight. I have deep personal experience of this. Over 30 years, the “one-child” policy has deprived the right to birth from Chinese women.
“One-child” policy violates the basic natural law of human reproduction, and leads to the unbalance of sex ratio, accelerating social problems such as population aging. Therefore, we appeal Chinese government to stop implementing the “one-child” policy, and to abolish it, in order to protect the basic human rights of the people.
