Li, Xiaping: Chinese People Demand Democratic Election

The constitution enacted by Chinese government, literally, is impeccable. Now the biggest problem is that the Chinese government does not rule the country by law, simply, China has law but no rule of law. The current legal system of constitution is used to govern ordinary people, while useless to the government and its officials, since the current government and the officials are appointed by various levels of the government rather than being elected by the people.
Ordinary Chinese people have no right to vote, let alone the right to be elected. The so-called “democratic election” advocated by the government is merely in name only that only serves as a tool to deceive Chinese people. The right to vote has long deprived by the government, and the “representatives” are occupied by those who appointed by the government. For many ordinary Chinese people, the basic right to live cannot be guaranteed let alone the right to vote?
There is no human right or the rule of law without democracy and freedom. People will never be the owner of China without the right to vote, which is a simple truth. Therefore, Chinese people strongly urge to practice democratic election system, and to elect the government and the officials by the vote of the people.
