Jiang, Ying: Urge the Chinese Government to Pay Attention to Environmental Protection

According to the Internet media, in the face of the deteriorating environmental pollution, the International environmental protection organizations warned several times that if the Chinese government doesn’t take any effective measures to protect the environment, then in the short future, severe environmental crisis, even disasters, would happen. In recent years’ United Nations Climate Change Conference, the representatives criticized China for not having effective controlled the discharge of greenhouse gases.
Also, the media reported that indicated by the environmental experts, concerning the water source, the source of drinking water in almost all the cities and towns in China contain toxin, and it will take quite some time to get it to normal level. Obviously, besides the water source, a large number of problems exist like air-quality problem, food safety problem, and the deterioration of ecological environment.
The facts above show that China is not far from environmental disasters, enhancing the environmental protection work is not only relates to the future of the country or the fate of the people, but also relates to the world’s environment and the health and civilization of human. Therefore, I call on the Chinese government to decrease waste discharge, and pay more attention to environmental protection.
