Ban, Jincheng: Commemorate the “June 4” Event in 1989, Prevent Violent Incidents from Happening Again

23 years ago, in the early morning of June 4, 1989, the communist government sent armed forces, tanks, by using automatic rifles, to shoot the students and citizens who participated in the demonstration and sit-in to demand the government to punish corruption and embezzlement, in the urban area of Beijing and the Tiananmen Square. The government cruelly and violently suppressed the world-famous democratic movement, which later commonly called the “June 4” Event.
Today, although 23 years have passed and the “June 4” massacre has gradually been forgotten by many Chinese people, it left an indelible wound to the country and the people, and became to be an inevitable historical question for the Chinese government. We hope the Chinese government to respect the history, and open the report of the “June 4” event, to make Chinese people, especially the young generation, to know more about the truth of the event.
China needs democratic freedom, human rights, and the rule of law; Chinese people hope their country has a democratic constitutionalism with multi-party holding office in rotation, only under a democratic system, could militant violence be avoid.
