田震(Tian,Zhen)
China’s corruption has become a public social problem, when facing the corruption some people do not feel angry, but are accustomed to it. The main participants of corruption are government officials, in terms of law, corruption is a crime. Now the problem is that, why anti-corruption remains ineffective after so many years’ high-profile endeavor of Chinese authorities.
In today’s society, especially in the governments, the number of corrupt officials is increasing. In order to get money and other interests, the government officials always speak lies and empty words; they are indifferent to people’s sufferings, the only thing they concern about is the money-for-power deal. The severe corruption problem not only harms the social stability and affects people’s living quality, but also damages the basic fairness and justice in Chinese society.
One precondition for anti-corruption is enabling the power under the supervision of the law and the public; and the most important is, China must has independent legislative, judicial, and administrative departments, in which the administrative power could not interfere the law, and the rule of law must replace the rule of people, letting the power of government officials receiving the supervision of the people and the restriction of law; only with a determination is not far enough, the success of anti-corruption lies on the system of democracy and the rule of law.
