Tian, Zhen: Chinese Government Must Correct Educational Direction

One man needs to receive good education, only by this way, can he becomes a good man and be competent in his job; the prosperity of a nation lies on the improvement of people’s cultural quality; a country’s raising also relies on improving the people’s cultural quality. Why the officials in China’s educational system as well as teachers in schools do not understand this simple truth?
In fact, no matter the government officials or the teachers, most of whom understand the truth. But they take their own course, and refuse to reflect the problems in the educational direction. Some officials always complaint the low quality of teacher troop, however, it is a fact that the teachers’ quality is not high. Many teachers participate in the fight of interests and power in schools, and they are indifferent to whether the children have received normal education, nor the problem that some children are in danger of dropping out of school.
Education is aiming to spread culture and civilization, to maintain a healthy development of humanity. The Chinese government should pay attention to the problems in education, because education is not for fostering servants for the party or the party’s successors, but to spread cultural knowledge, and cultivate a group of talents who can fit for the employment market, and also start from the long-term interests of the whole country and the nation, to foster talents serving for the country’s future.
