Jiang, Yuxin: The Only Way to Restrain Corruption is Realizing Democratic Rule of Law

Chinese Communist regime chronically rules Chinese society, and seizes all the resources of the country, and it mentally as well as physically enslaves all the Chinese people. Chinese citizens could not accuse the government or government officials for their unlawful act such as embezzlement and corruption. Many corrupt government officials are not like that way at the very beginning, but they turned to be a corrupter after got involved in corruption. Many government officials were thinking of being good officials when they took office, however, after they realize the power in hand is not under any restrictions of law or supervisions, part of them started to get greedy because of the temptation of money and interests.
Corrupt officials are closely tied to the society, they never separately exist from the society, because they are a part of it, and significantly impacted by it. Because of the existence of a corrupt system in China, which heavily stimulates the government officials to get involved in corruption, the values advocated by the communist officialdom such as monetary value, private interests first, personal achievement first, high consumption, and corrupt entertainment would definitely result in corrupt government officials. We can say that maximizing personal interest is the common characteristic of the corrupt communist officials.
There is no rule of law without a democratic system, and a society without the rule of law would be a privileged society, so the CPC’s one-party authoritarian is such a privileged society, which will surely lead to corruption. Only by giving power back to the people, improving democratic system, could a government effectively restrain the problem of corruption. Democratic system is the fundamental assurance to restrain corruption, and the only resolution to the problem of corruption is promoting political system reform, practicing democratic constitutionalism, and realizing the rule of law.
