Jin, Rilong: Avoid “June 4” Like Events from Happening Again

The event of June 4, 1989 has passed 23 years, while the communist government never reflects on it, and neither did it learn from the lesson. In adverse, it even goes even further to protect its single-party autocratic rule, and brainwashes the Chinese people in the guise of “developing the economy, putting money above everything”, for the purpose to alter people’s attention, to downplay people’s memory of the “June 4” event. However, how could the Chinese people forget the massacre made by the communist party to send armed forces to slaughter its own people?
Over 23 years, the communist government has kept controlling the media, to distort the truth and the history of “June 4” event, and to deceive the people by lies. 23 years is a long time period, the “June 4” massacre made by the then communist government caused numerous tragedies that old parents lose their beloved children, which became a permanent hurt to the country and the people.
As a Chinese, I hope the government to face the history, to take responsibility of the “June 4” event, to make an apology to all Chinese people as well as the victims and their family members at that time. From the view of humanity, the government should make a reasonable economic compensation to the family members of the victims, and to reform social system, to avoid “June 4” like events from happening again.
