The corruption in China has become much more serious than before. Some people claim that, in today’s China, every official is greedy, and being greedy is the necessary element to be a Chinese official. It’s true. How to stop the corruption fundamentally? The answer is to prevent corruption from the political system. If there is only one party ruling a country, without surveillance of the power, corruption will definitely happen. If the country has two or more parties holding the power, parties are monitored by each other and their power is operated under sunshine. In this case, governmental officials are not able to get involved in corruption; every official has to be clean-fingered with self-discipline. Such is the benefit of the multi-party system.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) once advocated democracy and freedom before the CCP seized dominion of China. When the CCP held the absolute power of dominion, they abandoned the promise of democracy and freedom. Other parities are not allowed to touch the dominion power by the CCP. The CCP’s dictatorship has last for more than 60 years, which leads to uncontrolled power of the officials for a long term. The absolute power leads to absolute corruption.
One-party dictatorship is the root of corruption, which also hindered the Chinese people from pursuing democracy, freedom, human rights, and legality. Therefore, to abolish one-party dictatorship and to establish multi-party system in China is the only way out for Chinese people.
