The problem of moral decay has reflected in many social problems in China, such as the corruption of governmental officials, poisonous milk powder, fake diplomas and education degrees, and so on. The majority of the Chinese has changed their value orientation fundamentally. Look around us, government is so corrupted; officials forget honor at the prospect of profits; doctors are apathetic to patients’ death; businessmen are so deceptive that all other people can be sacrificed for profits.
Many Chinese are complaining about Chinese society has become worse and worse. Some people claimed that, officials own power, businessmen have money, professors use knowledge, and artist enjoy the famous name. However, most of those people are generally lack of moral conscience. What are the causes of the collapse of Chinese moral society? Some people say the reason is poor education, some point the wrong guide of the government, and others blame the faulty social system. Public opinions are divergent.
The key to affect Chinese people’s moral conscience is not political work. The deep reason of Chinese moral problem is the lack of education of equity and justice and the democratic system. Democratic system is the necessary goal of Chinese political, economic, and educational revolution. Therefore, the achievement of democratic system is related to China’s future and destiny.
