The problem of corruption among Chinese officials has become more and more serious. The corruption cases are increasingly shows up, and the means to be corrupt have become increasingly variable. Since the Chinese reform and opening, the massive corruption has happened everywhere, the number of corrupt officials has been increasing, and the amount of involving money has been increased. Many Chinese officials would rather trample on the Chinese people to get benefits for his or her profit. For many years, the majority of the Chinese people are extremely discontent and angry to governmental corruption.
Refusing to review misbehaviors, the Chinese government even violently persecuted and attacked the people who criticized the governmental corruption. In today’s China, the interest of officials and people are inconsistent and even contradictory. The Chinese government and officials are not able to present most ordinary Chinese people’s interests anymore.
Democracy is a system to restrict power and to balance relationships. A democratic country has to manage the power in a justice, fair, and public manner. Democracy is against privileged relationships, and against the free possession of wealth. The realization of democracy in China is the only way to make the government power under the surveillance of people, and to prevent corruption effectively.
