Zhai, Qiwei: Multi-party Democratic system must be established in China
翟启伟(Zhai,Qiwei)
The Chinese government once claimed that “the national power belongs to people.” But during the long-term dominancy of Chinese society, the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) dictatorship doesn’t give Chinese people any rights. In fact, the one-party autocracy has seriously hindered the Chinese people from pursuing democracy, freedom, human rights, and legality. One-party ruling has become the deep root of corruption, disasters, and social problems in China. Therefore, to abolish the CCP’s dictatorship and to establish democratic system is the only way out for Chinese people.
Ending dictatorship and establish multiparty system is not only the wishes of the Chinese people, but also conforms to world peace and stability. History has proved that authoritarian is the origin of privileges; privileges give officials absolute power, and absolute power leads to absolute corruption.
In the multi-party democratic system, the governmental power is under surveillance and restricted by the people. In this case, the absolute power won’t exist. If China is ruled by two or more parties, every party can be monitored and restricted by each other. Every ordinary people can participate in the political process and become the real master of the country. Governmental officials are not involved in corruption any more. This is the benefits to establish a multi-party democratic political system in China.
