Sun, Zhen: Chinese government must comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
孙振(Sun,Zhen)
For a long time, the human rights condition has not been fundamentally improved in China. The Chinese government keeps arresting and imprisoning dissidents, human rights advocates, and religious people; keeps driving and repatriating petitioners in violence.
For many years, the concepts of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, that advocating human rights, dignity and freedom of speech, freedom of religious belief, have been accepted, respected, and effectively implemented in many countries on the world. As the universal value, human rights, freedom, equity, fraternity, and dignity have become a common standard of a country’s social civilization and people’s living standards.
China is one of countries who signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As a country with great population, Chinese government must enforce laws and human rights legislation, must protect human rights in China through the specific laws and rules. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights reaffirmed that, it is necessary protect human rights with laws to end tyranny, slaughter and oppression. Then the Chinese government is responsible to comply with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to give up violence, to stop persecutions, to force relevant human rights law, to improve the situation of human rights in China, and to build a multi-party ruled, democratic, free country respecting human rights and rule of law. |
