Wang, Duo: China must make a movement towards moral civilization

In China, from officials to ordinary people, moral decay has become a common problem, such as corrupt officials, toxic food, and fake diplomas, fake alcohol drinks. People’s values have changed. Corruptions, being bent on profit, betraying friends for money, not helping people in need are common cases in the society. Even though officials are powerful, businessmen are rich, scholars are knowledgeable, and artists are famous, most of them are lack of moral conscience. The culture of Chinese society has become worse and worse.
Nevertheless, lies are very common in Chinese society. Many people lie for their own benefits regardless of moral conscience, credit, or law. What is moral civilization? What is dignity?
Moral civilization is the guarantee of normal social order, is the soul of development of fair and justice society. In today’s China, the government must promote ethical civilization; officials should obey the regularities, rules and laws when they are using the power. Only doing so, China could make a movement towards moral civilization.
