On June 4th, 1989, the event of massacre at Tian An Men Square in Beijing changed the history of China. Between the spring and summer in 1989, there were more than ten thousand students and residents participated in demonstration to request the Chinese government to punish corruption and initiated democracy and freedom. Finally, the demonstration suffered violent repression by Chinese armed forces. A lot of people died and many people were injured. More than thousands people were arrested and imprisoned. This is the “Event of June 4th”.
“June 4th Event” past 23 years, and Chinese government has distorted the truth of this event. So many people have been misleading and deceived. Some of them completely do not understand what happened in “June 4th Event” in 1989. Today, we commemorate the 89 “June 4th” event because it is the historical wound of our nation and country. We review this period of history and get exhortation from “June 4th” in order to promote the China democratic politics process. The “Democracy and Freedom” which was advocated in 1989 “June 4th” event is till the goal pursued by Chinese people.
