Sun,Li: Urging the Chinese Government to Reform the Education Management System

There are unfairness, unjustness and unreason in China’s education sector. From the current education situation, the main character is rule of man, not rule of law. The educational work in many places are imperfect, there are many problems inside, which is mainly manifested in the following aspects:
First, the government restricts on the number of educational funding. The local government does not use the educational funding reasonably, which leads some children out of school; some places even have the phenomenon of paying teacher’s wages late.
Second, there are no supervisions between the government’s education management and education officials’ power. So there are problems existing such as misappropriating education funds, disguised charges and officials involved in corruption.
Third, the education management model is malformed. In order to gain its own interests, the education authorities create a set of educational standards and models which is easy for them to manage and make benefits. The unified action in China’s education system creates a large number of students who have no creativity, no right life view and value view. The government has changed the education department into an economic industry.
The Chinese government should reform the current education system, developing viable education laws, regulations, and ordinances. The purpose of it is to let the education work has law to follow, and has law to protect in the area of policy, institution, funding, personnel, facilities, and administrative work, promoting the normal development of educational work.
